Speereo Travel Service (STS) includes Speereo Voice Translator (SVT) is an ideal companion
for travelling on business or leisure and is also an excellent aid for business communication.
Running on PDA (Pocket PC) and Smartphone platforms, it contains a 14+4 language phrase translator,
travel guides, flight schedules and status information, weather forecast, currency converter,
world time calculator, city event guides.
SVT is tested under a Symbian OS and has got Symbian certification. You can install SVT into both main storage and media card.
This universal and multi-purpose application consists of six parts:
Speereo Voice Translator (SVT) includes approximately 4000 phrases for almost every situation a traveler could face. It helps to communicate at a restaurant, hotel, airport, hospital or police and etc., and what is most remarkable, it says phrases in a foreign language for you. Speereo Voice Translator supports bi-directional translation for 14 languages English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Russian, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Korean, Portuguese, Turkish and Japanese, Finnish and formal Arabic. Polish, Danish, Norwegian and Swedish will be available soon. You can download languages through "Settings" in the main SVT menu.
TRAVEL GUIDES
STS also includes contains Travel Guides for nearly 200 countries and cities worldwide, containing useful information for business or leisure trips. Business essentials, places of interest, accommodation, restaurants, bars/cafes, nightlife, shopping and other practical information can be downloaded onto Smartphones and PDAs.
ONLINE FLIGHT TIMETABLE AND STATUS
This service contains all scheduled flights worldwide of almost 1,000 airlines and 3,500 airports. The data contains around 75,000 flights (including low cost airlines) updated on a daily basis. For each flight users can see arrival and departure time, terminal information, aircraft type, meal service and flight time. Using a GPRS connection, STS users can also get flight status information including cancellations, delays, gate changes and baggage gate.
ONLINE WEATHER FORECAST
STS users can also access up to the minute weather information. Whether travelling on business or for leisure users can find out temperature and conditions at their intended destination.
ONLINE CURRENCY RATES VIEWER & CALCULATOR
The currency converter allows the user to easily convert between all global currencies. The latest exchange rates are downloaded via Internet.
WORLD TIME
Using this service the user can simultaneously look up the current time in all major cities around the globe.
CITY EVENT GUIDES
The STS customer can get information about current and future events in nearly 200 major cities around the world. Events are sorted by the categories; art and museums, concerts, cultural, family, festivals, holidays, theatre. Users can select all events happening in the duration of their stay at their chosen city.
