I wrote GasTracker to present fuel usage information the way it should be--to best help me make crucial decisions regarding my vehicle. When you apply for automobile insurance, invariably the agent will ask you how many miles you drive your vehicle?if you give them a number that is too big, you pay more for premiums. If it is too small, the insurance company may invalidate a claim. GasTracker lets you know at a glance what you do with your car.

Everyone knows that we can help the environment and save money by keeping our cars in tip-top-shape. But how do you know when you need a tune-up? Tuning your car isn''t free, and doing it too often is not the best use of your money. What really frustrated me with other gas tracking software was that there was no way to tell what your overall trend was so you can visually see when your car is losing efficiency. GraphTracker solves this problem by allowing you to graph the fuel efficiency of your vehicle.

This graph, for example, shows that my efficiency went from about 22.2 miles per gallon to about 17.1 mpg. It tells me that it’''s time for a tune up. Moreover the red graph shows that the overall price of gasoline has gone down in the last two months--which is probably why I haven''t "felt" my car''s problem.
