MBrain Software's popular Pdf Acrobat viewer is now available for beta testing here. Initial impressions are that it's a little slow but does let you open documents that the supplied Adobe Reader can't cope with.

Digital TV on your mobile takes a step closer to mass market

Microsoft has joined the group of industry leaders (including Nokia, Intel, Motorola and TI) in formally backing DVB-H, the already-favourite digital TV standard for smartphones, reports Engadget. You may remember Nokia has been a champion of DVB-H for ages, including trials on their 7710 smartphone in the UK, and with the N92 to come this summer.

Vodafone Defaults To Google For Mobile Search

Vodafone's partnership with Google announced at 3GSM gets more fleshing out in this article. It's more than just the search box in the browser - it's there for the Vodafone Live! service, but not as the default option in the browser's handset... think more along the lines of AdSense mobile, content delivery, and highly personalises searching (and marketing).

Yahoo Takes Over The Register's Series 60 Phone

The Register's Andrew Orlowski has had a pretty bad time of reviewing Yahoo! Go! for Series 60, with a constant stream of unwanted data traffic, an application shouting "use me!" all the time and perhpas a rather unwarranted personal attack on members of Yahoo. A long read that's more about why PC web services don't work on phones rather than a balanced product review - nevertheless it's entertaining.

Yahoo Zone-Tagging Your Pics

Yahoo has launched ZoneTag, a free S60 v2 application to aid uploading of photos to Flickr, together with GPS or cell-tower-aided positioning information (via tags). Other features include setting privacy viewing options and customised tags.
