Jari Laaksonen has announced the availability of TodayView via his website. TodayView shows calendar events in a list. A demo is available that shows a single days events. The full version can be purchased via Handango (affiliate link) for $10.
Cibenix have released an update to Active Mail for Nokia 7650. Further to our announcement last Friday, Version 1.10 has now been released. This supports phones with Nokia firmware 4.xx.
Cibenix have just discovered that Active Mail for Nokia 7650 can cause serious system problems with firmware 4.xx. We strongly advise users not to use Active Mail on a Nokia 7650 with firmware 4.xx. Cibenix are actively working to solve this problem, and will release an update as soon as possible. A news item will be posted on this site when an update is released.
A solution for playing Flash files (.swf) on the Nokia 7650 is now available. You author/obtain clip files in the SWF file format, and run them through an encoder, which outputs Mobiclip files. The .mo clips can then be viewed on the target platform with a freeware player.
In somewhat suprising news (at least to me) long time Microsoft stalwart Sendo has liscensed the Series 60 from Nokia. Yes Sendo, long time friend of Microsoft and maker of the Z100 (the first announced MS Smartphone) will be using Series 60. Update: Sendo are dropping the Z100 and stopping all work on MS Smartphones. It is a full scale defection.

Nokia announced today the availability of the Nokia N-Gage which Nokia describes as a game optimized device within its mobile game deck category. PsiNT have announced a new bundle of their programs for the 7650. The bundle includes eFile Manager, Extend profiles Pro, Task Manager and World Clock Pro. New version of World Clock Pro and Extended Profiles (large improvements; standard and pro versions) have also been announced. These can be purchased via Handango.
Extreme Bubble and FsTetris are from Feather Bower. Two excellent looking games fro the 7650. One a bubble pop tpye game, the other a tetris clone. They can be purchased from Handango seperately as Extrme Bubble and FsTetris or together in a bundle (which saves $5).
Cheeky Wireless have also recently launched another game, this is Jam a full screen vertical scrolling shoot 'em up game. Basically one of those frustration release games. Get it from Handango for $10.
Minitris is a tetris like game (must be something inthe water at the moment), and looks to be a faithful representation of one the worlds most famous games. Sure to help the time go by on your way to work. It can be purchased via Handango for $7.50.
Noumena Productions and MGS have done it again producing a fine looking game for the Nokia 7650. This time is a tetris like game (with Jewels). The game can be played singly or by two players battling over bluetooth. It has the usual excellent MGS graphics and sound. It can be purchased via Handango.
Jingle Pop and from CheekyWireless are basically identical games with alsightly differing theme (one being footie, and one being Christmas). Its a BubblePop style game for the Nokia 7650. Both games can be purchased via Handango.
