Atomanic is a great new puzzle game from BitRabbit. If you're looking for another Match Three/Falling Blocks style game, don't bother. Atomanic asks you to move atoms around an increasingly difficult playing field to build a specifc molecule. We'll have a review in the next few days.
Nokia's N-Gage Arena Launcher has been updated to version 2.5. Note this release is only for the QD, the N-Gage Classic users will have to wait (why I don't know, there's very little difference in the Operating System). New features include Public Group Chat, Friend Rankings, Login Message and Filtered Content.
NesGame caught my eye, not because it's another NES emulator for Series 60, but because of the limitations it has for it's "demo before purchase" part of the shareware cycle. It allows a maximum of 50 key presses before it asks for the reg code. I'm not sure this is enough time to evalutate the app and get people convinced to buy it.
Nokia has created some 'computer gaming deckchairs'. "The hi tech deckchairs come equipped with N-Gage games phones on extendable arms, a mini parasol to avoid sun glare and drinks coolers allowing gamers to get their quick fix of gaming while away sunning themselves on the beach. " The prototype Nokia N-Gage deckchairs will apparently be touring festivals and beaches during the summer. Here (and here) are the pics.
And now the reason Nokia are showing up at GenCon 2005 is clear. Warhammer 40000: Glory in Death is coming to the N-Gage. Details are scarse at the moment (just the press release, which follows) but with big names like this being signed up for the 2006 calendar, the death of the N-Gage is not quite with us yet.
