Nokia's new entry level Nseries, the N78, is the evolution of the Nokia N73 and the N70. Its candybar form factor and relatively small size hides a decent camera, WiFi and on board GPS which now has software support for automatic geotagging. There's also an FM transmitter for sending audio from the device to any FM receiver.

Prioritising access points You can choose the order access points are used. For example you would probably choose to have your home WiFi as number 1, then other regularly used WiFi hotspots, and finally your operators access points.
Photos application The new Photo applications replaces gallery as the primary way to view photos and video captured by the device.

FM transmitter The N76 has a built in FM transmitter for sending audio from the phone to any FM radio.
Internet Connections At last grouped internet connections and a select connection dialog that normal users can understand.
N78 keypad The flat design is reminiscent of the N81 but the tactile feedback has been improved. Clearly space is limited in candybar form factor devices, and although the keypad looks small it seemed fine in use. It should certainly match of exceed the performance of the N73 keypad.
FP2 Unified Messaging No longer do you choose SMS or MMS - the phone will do this for you based on the contents of the message.
Running FP2 The N76 runs S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2. Here's one example of the changes - in this case access to multi tasking via the Show open applications option.

Internet destinations This is the settings dialog for Internet destinations (revamped access points). Here you can group access points to avoid those irritating choose access point dialogs in applications.

Photos Tag cloud You can view your photos via tag cloud. These tags have to be added after capture, but to create a very intuitive way to view photos by category. The tags are also transferred to the Nokia Photos PC application.
Carousel photos Photos are viewed via the usual carousel.
Photos Albums Albums are much more accessible in the new Photos application which should encourage their usage.
Preview photos from tag cloud A little box pops up when you select a tag showing you a preview of one of the photo in that tag category.
Carousel photos location A minor, but significant addition to the carousel screen is the carousel-location wheel (bottom right). When you have several hundred images in the carousel this makes it much easy to visualise where you are on the carousel.
