Is it possible to transfer text messages from one memory card to another?

i have a symbian based nokia 6124 phone and my phone is configured to store the text messages on my memory card.currently i´m using a 500mb memory card but since i´m falling short of space i want to change my memory card to 1 gb, the problem i´m facing is that although when i scan the memory card space on my phone,it shows me that certain space is used by the text messages stored on it,but when i check it through my laptop,the text messages don´t appear anywhere on the card.i have more than 1000 important texts stored on my 500 mb memory card and i want to transfer them to my new card,can anyone please help me with my problem?i would really appreciate it! thanks
Copy the all data , including the hidden folders , of the old card to the new card on your PC .
Now the phone will recognise the new card as it was the old one .
BTW : buy a well known brand like Nokia , Sandisk etc . The 6124 is compatible with cards up to 8 GB .
