Can't open image viewer or music player in gallery?
I just recently put some music onto my nokia n96 phone and took some new photos but when i went to play the music on the music player it would not open, the same problem with the image viewer? I'm stuck really, do i have to reinstall the firmware or something, i'm not that knowledgable really. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Filemanager or Reboot/Reset
Did you try to play the items from : Menu > Office > Filemanager ?
The simple way to overcome bugs , corrupted software and memory (full ?) issues is reboot or reset . For hard reset have a Backup of all your personal data (on e.g. PC : Contacts , Calendar , Bookmarks , etc) .
See my post about reset here :
http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum...ad.php?t=81021
Default Nokia Code after Hard Reset : 12345
Check Nokia Support for Firmwareupdate , when you didn't yet . A Firmware update works also like a hard reset , but will bring ironed software instead of the old .

Codec ?
Check the Codec of your music files . Filemanager > Highlight the Item > Options > (Check data/info) > Type .
Here is Nokia compatibility list :
http://europe.nokia.com/find-product...eries#music-mf
When the file is not compatible , it won't play . Then you have to convert the files first to .mp3 , AAC , or etc .
There might also a security issue , like DRM (digital rights management)

file type
i've checked all my music files, they are all mp3, they work on another app called 'power mp3', i just can't open the music player or image viewer in the gallery. I would imaging the best thing to do would be a hard reset??

Photo browser won't open in gallery
I just updated fw to 30.033 and everything went fine besides that my image browser stopped working.
I reformatted mass storage, did soft en hard reset but problem stayes the same.
I didn't experience any problems with music player. Picture viewer is the only item in gallery that doesn't work. Any clues?
Edit: mrspongey solved his problem by reformatting his mass memory. It doesn't solve my problem...
