MMS on the n97 mini?
This is so frustrating.
o2 support are useless, as they don't sell this phone.
I have put my o2 sim in the phone, and downloaded the settings - so that mobile internet is fine, sending picture messages is fine etc...
BUT when I receive a photo message from someone I get a txt saying I have to log into the the o2.co.uk/m/ site to view it!
AAAARGH - I'm getting very p'd off now
Anyone had/have a similar problem?

Just check that the settings you have for O2 MMS are actually there!
Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Destinations > Multimedia msg. > O2 MMS (double tap to bring up the O2 MMS settings)
To enter O2 settings yourself...
Access point name: wap.o2.co.uk (contract customers) or payandgo.o2.co.uk (pay-as-you-go customers)
Username: o2wap (contract customers) or payandgo (pay-as-you-go customers)
Password: password
Authentication: Normal
Data bearer: GPRS
Gateway IP (proxy) address: 193.113.200.195
Session mode: Permanent
Port number: 8080 or 9201
URL address: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002

What I did was go to the sim-card icon labelled "O2" (I think normally it's in the Applications folder, but you may have moved it elsewhere) and then select "Get Settings". It will cost you a text message but you'll then get your GPRS and MMS settings sent to you automatically. Worked a treat!

This is down to O2, nothing to do with the phone.
Itls happened to me when I've first changed phones in the past when I had an O2 sim, as has been already stated, you need to make sure your MMS Settings are correct. It does get frustrating to keep going to external web sites to view your pics, all the more reason to sort the settings out.
Good luck.

Same thing happened to me. It turned out that o2 hadn't activated picture messaging on my account (it was nothing to do with the phone settings, which were all correct).
I had to speak to several people at o2 before anyone realised this though so if the first person you speak to says it's fine, ring up and try again explaining that the settings on the phone are definitely correct (and that you need it activated on your account).

just an update
Phone o2 about 3 times over the past couple of days.
On one occasion they wouldn't help because 'they don't sell the N97 so don't support it'
I don't think the issue is the phone seeing as all WAP/Mobile web functionality works fine (including sending MMS).
Phoned again today, and they got me to manually fill in the settings - which i've done.
Ultimately, they're sending me a new SIM card, but I fail to see how this will help

Could you send picture messages, whilst not receiving them?
o2 have said it's all set up correctly at their end?

Yes I could send but not receive. Literally spoke to about 5 different people and the last finally realised that it hadn't been activated on my account. The other 4 all said it was fine!
Once she activated it, I sent myself a photo and it worked. Previously I received a text directing me to the web site.
So, I'd try calling them again and ask them to double check photo messages is activated on your account. Maybe push for a manager call if that doesn't work!
