It's a common problem with 7650 as it's not a sealed unit

NSC can ckean it by opening it up and removing dust. Don't know if they will do it for free though

ive cleaned mine 3 times at a NSC but its full of dust again so there is no solution no matter how much you try to keep it clean theres no way you can get out of the dust under the screen attack

thanks guys i suppose ill have to live with it then , my best option would be to get nsc to clean it later in the year just before i sell it to get a 3650 when my contract runs out.
btw can u run the 3650 pc suite on windows 98 ?

with regards about the nsc putting the small speck of dust in your phone reminds me of a time i took my 8310 in for a software upgrade .
i was sitting in one of the chairs provided minding my own and then i heard the distinct sound of a phone hitting the floor (quite hard) i just new it was my phone and 2 minutes later i was told there was a problem with my software and i had got a virus through wap or a text message and they would have to give me a replacement phone.
why they couldnt be honest and say they had droped and busted my phone i dont know but i thought it was quite funny and the replacement was fine , anyone else with any stories like that

After the original sticy taep peeled off I stuck two pieces of wide tape on my phone's screen so far everything o.k. oh by the way upgrading to version 4.39 might help

Well when my phone originally ceased to function due to the 3.12 bug (overfilling the memory), I took it to phones4u first and told them the problem, and the bloke said "yeah you must have dropped it or used it in the rain or something". I explained that I'd done my homework and it was a bug on 3.12 but he didnt listen, he just repeated himself again. "No, the only way this can happen is if you use the phone in a way you shouldnt"

Nokia Service Centre, I dont live in scotland so i dont know just call into any phone shop and they will tell you where there is one. Ive had dust in mine ages, It gets in through the joystick, If they clean it, it will just happen again. Live with it, I do
