I'm comparing this to the i8910 review (and that of the N97). Why is it SonyEricsson AND Nokia get a "it will all be rosy with a firmware update" when Samsung get a "they're useless. They haven't released a firmware update yet"?
Steve even mentions that it took Nokia months to release a reasonable firmware for the N97, and as anyone who's owned a SonyEricsson UIQ device knows, firmware updates for those were as rare as hens teeth!
I have posted my experience pertaining to the Satio in another section under the above mentioned title.
All I can say is that my phone is really getting from bad to worse.
1/ When I try to see what apps are running in the background.
Calender keeps popping out.
2/ Now I cannot even key in my pin code after I have switched on the phone. I found this out when I encountered problem (1). So as usual I swithed off the phone & switched it on again. When I key in my pin code, the phone just refused to accept my command. Nothing comes out of it. Tried a couple of times & thats it.
I am sending it back to SonyE service centre first thing tomorrow morning.
Just like the Satio, the X10 / Andriod OS has always been in my mind when it was announced. Now I can forget about it.
I am not surprised SonyE is making a loss & more losses will incur if they keep launching half baked products.
Unless they can resolve the problem fast or else I have no choice but to go back to Nokia.
