i want to upgrade my firmware but...

ders a few q's i wanna ask as i dont know much about fones.

Im on 3 network UK n if i upgrade will da fone become unbranded?

Will i lose skype and msn on the home screen?

Ive read posts statin that the best way for the fone to b efficient is to install programs one by one, wat does da actually mean? And how do i do da?

And can u plz tell me any other things that will b useful. Ive read a few posts but if u wanna direct me to certain posts then can u plz leave a link

this fone is getting on my nerves and i hope dis v20 resolves all the problems

3 may not have approved V20 firmware for their branded N97 product-code. If so, you cannot officially upgrade.
If you are able to officially upgrade (i.e. WITHOUT de-branding) all 3's apps should still be on the home-screen afterwards.
If you cannot officially upgrade, you could de-brand - but you would lose all the 3 branded apps, and also technically invalidate your handset warranty.

Forum members advice to re-install all apps manually after firmware upgrade, requires you to have all the SIS, SISX and JAR installation files for the 3rd party apps you want to re-install
- you need to download these installation files from the 3rd party app supplier's web sites. Try googling for app names.
