Snakes on N85

Has anyone been able to install Snakes successfully on an N85? I tried installing using the file from the Nokia website as instructed on Ovi Gaming, but I get this error message when I try:

"Certificate error. Contact the application supplier."

I've tried using all these different versions of the installation file downloaded from the Nokia website but I get the same message each time:

Nokia_3250_snakes.sis
Nokia_6233_snakes.jad
Nokia _N76_Snakes.sis
Nokia_N95_Snakes.sis
snake3d_SD_EU.jad
snakes60all.sis

Does anyone know how to get around this? Is it possible to install Snakes on an N85?

I just installed Snakes for my N86 and it worked great.

I used the download link for snakes60all.sis from this page:

Hmm strange.

How about running App. Mgr. then Options then Settings and setting Software Installation = All and Online Certificate Check = Off then trying again?

Finally (although very unlikely to work) try setting the date on your phone back one year before installing.

Unfortunately I've tried both of those earlier, with no success. Do you think it being an Orange branded phone might have something to do with it?

After much faffing about I finally got it installed and working. I didn't go with HelloOX2 in the end because I would have had to sign that anyway, but thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Anyway, if you're having the same problem as I was, here's what you need to do:

1. Get a developer certificate and key for your phone from OPDA. To do this you need to register on the site, apply for a certificate by clicking User posted image, and then wait about 24 hours for nice person in China to upload the certificate and key for you.
2. Revisit the site later and you should see your .cer and .key files ready to be downloaded.
3. Use SISContents (or SignSis) to sign a copy of snakes60all.sis with your certificate and key. Fairly straightforward instructions for this can be found easily online.
4. Install as usual.

It was all a bit of a pain - especially having to register on a Chinese website and wait for a certificate - as I knew nothing about app certificates when I started all this, so hopefully the steps above will keep it fairly simple for those doing this for the first time. I ended up knowing more about app certificates then I ever wanted to, but anyway Snakes works and plays great on the N85. 😎
