Still having GPS hardware issues

A couple of weeks ago I received my N97 back from its second service where the technicians replaced the back assembly thingy (the one to which the GPS antenna is stuck). One initial testing it seemed to be okay with a quite stable precision of less than 30 m. I then did the foolish thing of upgrading to the latest maps 3 beta. Navigation is not fully optimal, but the precision still seems okay.

However, I have noticed a different problem. When connecting the car charger (branded Nokia) with the Nokia micro USB adapter to the phone the accuracy jumps from ranging from 10 to 30 m, to ranging from 40 to 100 m. This is even without the car charger connected to the car, just lying loose on the table outside.

As per the Norwegian consumer laws I am entitled to return the phone for a full refund since the GPS issue has still not been fixed, and I'm quite firm in my belief that it is still a hardware issue, at least in my case. The question is, what should I do with the money? Apart from its flaws I like the phone, but will I just be experiencing the same problems again with a new phone of the same type? Would I perhaps be better off with another phone, in that case which?

I'm not really sure of what to do here...

Buy an omnia hd

You can buy a Samsumg Omnia i8910 HD. It runs also Symbian S60 5th edition. If you watches some videos on youtube of the Omnia HD you can see that it's like working with an N97. You also get 3 improvements: the camera has 8Megapixel, shoots 720p HD video and the gps seem very very precise. Ah! And the applications made for the N97 seems to work also on this phone due to having the same operating system.

What about the other point, will I have the same hardware problems with a new N97?
