Hello everyone,

Apparently, v32.2.001 has been released for N95 8GB (product codes 0587943, 0563007 0558696 for now, and hopefully 0561948 soon). I was wondering whether anyone has updated to this version yet, and, if so, whether they've noticed any improvements. Most notably, whether the wifi crash bug in the previous firmware (v31.2.008) has been resolved. Thanks 😊

I simply cannot believe how amateurish this company is! After receiving feedback from probably thousands of unhappy N95 8GB owners who find themselves without one of their phone's most essential features - WLAN connectivity - they *finally* release a new firmware - after four months - and this new 32.2.001 firmware is one that leaves the wifi bug AS IT IS! I have just upgraded my phone and I can report that it crashes when connected to a WLAN for a while just as it did in 31.2.008. Also, after 10 minutes or so of browsing through the phone, I can see no improvement over the previous version. Thanks for nothing Nokia!

what is the WLAN issue because I have had no such issues with my n95 8gb on v 31. Plus still no V32 for 0549487

Is it just the N95 8GB having these issues? I have just purchased an N95-3 and have no problems at all with connectivity. V20.2.011

It's the N95 8GB + the 31.2.008 (or v32!!) firmware. A lot of people are reporting that the phone crashes after a few minutes of using the WLAN, especially if the signal is not that strong. It's strange that yours doesn't, Liam.

Euro1 is usually the first to get updates. What versions are these product codes that are getting V32?

Tried all the product codes for my N95 8GB, and also the ones stated by "Longtalker" - it says NO update available still 😡

anyone update their phone to version 32 successfully ?

Is there any way that you can revert to 31.0.015 ?

Did you have problems with earlier firmware versions in terms of WLAN?

Aside from occasional glitches (which are also present with Windows wireless networking) and are cured by a reboot I have no problems with 31.0.015.

I wonder if the security settings for the connection are causing problems for the N95 firmware because using basic WEP security I have never experienced a problem.

not wanting to keep throwing spanners in the works but i use wpa2 on o2 broadband and no issues with wifi on my n95. Thats the most secure version you can get.

It's not about the security used by the AP, it's about maintaining connectivity to the AP. Whenever the phone loses it temporarily, it basically seizes up and doesn't auto-renegotiate like it used to. Only thing that will bring the phone back is a reboot.

Hi could anyone see if there is "Theme Effects" option in "Themes" section of the firmware 32.2.001?

Thank You very much...

yes i am having the same wifi problem, when phone loses one network it would freeze & heat up & discharge battery. is there any fix for it????
i miss my HTC windows phone's wifi management 😞

I'm on 31.0.0.015 and can't remember having any wifi issues at all. In terms of connection, wifi and 3g work flawlessly - unless there's no signal for 3g or my wifi router is acting up!

So does this mean I should stick to this FW and not bother updating? I get notifications to update once in a while but because I can't seem to back up my phone, I hadn't done the update.

Also, what are the improvements over 31.0.0.015
