I have formatted my MMC card (although, I tried to), but during this format Windows 2000 gave me an Unexpected Error and now I cannot access my MMC card anymore (Corrupted / unformatted memory card is the message that I see on my Nokia 9210 screen...)
Can someone help me?? Please!!
Goswin.

Thanks for the suggestion!
But now, everytime I try to format the card (with FileManager 2.00, sw 3.54), my phone hangs (stops functioning). Sometimes on 0%, sometimes on 4%, sometimes on 16%... unpredictable
Am I doing something wrong here?... Or is it the d.mn machine?
Thanks for any help!
Goswin.

Had the same problem. I had to format my MMC with my MP3 Player. I had no chance to format it with my 9210.[ This Message was edited by telepong on 2001-10-09 1103 ]

Yip,
My solution is buying a MMC Reader (from SanDisk SDDR-12-02) and formatting the card with this device. It was just a matter of seconds before I had the card working...
Now, installing the apps on the card is the next episode I guess... And at this point I really start believing that NOKIA and their 9210 have a SERIOUS PROBLEM with addressing of MMC cards.
Bye,
Goswin.

Installing software onto the MMC is not difficult.
I'd advise using the Reader to copy any sis files to the MMC. Place it in the Nokia and launch the .sis files. During installation you should be given the choice of installing to the D drive. This is the MMC card.

Had similar problems whilst trying to format the MMC Card.
Solution Reboot the 9210 without the the MMC Card, then using the communicator's File Manager, Format the card.

I have exactly the same problem that Goswin had. Tried most of the above suggestions. Does anyone know of a solution without having to buy a mp3 player or any other new hardware?

Always had the same mailtof@#!ingf@#!ing problem until I decided to go to the Nokia workshop in Bahrain. Predictably enough, they told me that the MMC was damaged and that it needed replacement. They did replace it (sadly for them!!) and promised me that the problem was solved. Well, it was not.... sad..

By the way, where can I find the least expensive MMC reader? .... Just another hidden cost of owning a 92Commu(!!!)
