The Samsung M8910 is very impressive indeed. In general Samsung camera' phones seems to be the best from the many reviews I've seen including the i8910, i8510 etc.

Very good photos from the Pixon there! But does anyone think that 12mp cameras on phones is a little unnecessary?

The Samsung phones are very good, although a lot of the differences are down to the software rather than the optics / lens / megapixels. Comparing any Samsung / Nokia / Sony Ericsson cameraphone always show the differences that each company takes in terms of the way photos are processed. Which one you prefer can come down to personal preference and this can depend on how you use the captured images (printed out, post-processed, as desktop wallpaper, for MMS etc etc).

Personally I found the i8510 was capable of taking amazing photos, but it was more likely to let me down in day to day use (i.e. capabilities best, but didn't always fulfill its promise). The Nokia phones tend to do better on average (i.e. maybe not taking the best photos, but more forgiving of poor photographers). That's a big generalisation of course.

Agree with you - "ez2remember" - this weekend I work with one Samsung i8910 HD and Nokia N97, and, the Samsung it´s indeed an impressive device, and for me, the best mobile device for now!

To make Share Online useful again, check out Pixelpipe - it works like ShoZu, allowing you to upload content to any number of different destinations, but rather than adding an additional app, it simply installs a configuration file into Share Online.

Does anyone know when the white version of N86 will be available?

I too read the review at GSM Arena of the Pixon 12 and in the comparison shots it was very obvious the 86 falls short. It's truly a shame Nokia is so late to the party and that the phone is pretty ho-hum in terms of breaking new ground.

Published accounts this week say Nokia is prepping a 12 megapixel phone for end of this year or MWC in Feb. But if they simply announce it at the Congress, as they did last year, then we're looking at a year before we see a 12-er from Espoo.

I had an N93 and then (and now) an N82. Was planning on buying the 86 but if I want the best cameraphone, I'm thinking Pixon 12 is the better choice.

Then I looked at the price. GOOD GOD! Thing is 639 euros! About 50% more expensive than the 86.

So I'm still here with my 82!

Is it true that the Pixon 12 doesn't use S60?

Even if the camera were twice as good, having the same old crappy web experience would still stop me from upgrading. Nokia locked me into Symbian for a good few years with the n82 but now the time has come where a fast internet and web experience is critically important. Its time to step away from Symbian and move to a platform that can offer a better internet connected experience. Ive ordered a Samsung Omnia Pro. Twin led and 5mp may not match the quality of the n86 but im prepared to take the hit in order to advance my mobile internet experience.

Amazing clarity in photo. N86 shows that it's a good camera phone. But this can't compete in other segment of 'internet' phones.

Noka, Nokia, Nokia. Where's the Nokia we used to love in the N73/N95 days. Releasing truly ground breaking products.

I'm still with my Nokia N82. The SE satio will hopefully be my next phone. I don't see Nokia releasing anything before October to compete with it.
