Orkut Mobile App Launched by Google

Google's incredibly popular social network, Orkut, is now available through a java based smartphone client, which is optimised for S60 phones. Orkut has a presence with as much, if not more, impact than Facebook or MySpace in both Brazil and India and providing greater access to the network.

It appears by default. There is a way to make that virtual D-Pad disappear. Refer to this article by Tzer2:

Angry Not stable?

I got it installed on my 5800. Its not touch optimized. Though you can get rid of the on screen navigation keys, it doesn't recognize a touch on every control.

Also, it looks very unstable and freezes frequently.

Installed on N73. Quite a clunky application. Gives the feel of an early beta rather than a full release. But still nice that google finally came out with an orkut app.
