Review: Twittix
I don't know, you wait for a native Twitter client forever and then two come along at once. Last week, Ewan looked at the Gravity client from Mobiways; this week it's the turn of Twittix from Mojo's Studio, with Ewan giving this slightly simpler and more S60 style-compliant client the review treatment - who's this new client aimed at?

Nice Reviews, Ewan!
It would be great if you guys could dedicate some time on the podcast to discussing the different Twitter clients for S60.
I bought Gravity without knowing about Twittix. This could have led to a little regret, as Twittix is less expensive. However, after reading your review, I prefer Gravity and happily paid a little more.
It must be said, though, that Twittix looks like a nice alternative, and I am glad to see that competition is starting...
As you say, Gravity's interface is quite different from the S60 style sheet. Nevertheless, it is very intuitive and pretty - prettier than normal S60 UI's if you ask me.
On the other hand, Gravity lacks a Settings menu right now, and I would have appreciated being able to set update intervals and a default AP, but from what I understand, the developer is working on it.

I bought Twittix before I learned about Gravity.
When Twittix update to the 0.92-version the alerts went silent on my N96.
For that I tried Gravity.
Gravity had just finished alerts and very specific settings.
The update-programm is also something a lot of applications could learn from.
I have seen a lot of applications since my Psion and starting with a 6600 smartphone, but this application is something else.
I did not realise that Twitter was already this big.. if you want to know what is happening in the world.. get Gravity and look at the popular searches..

I use Twittix for the E71. I don't have the "Downloading" message box to which you refer. I simply have very fast thin lines shooting across the screen.
Also - Twittix has updated automatically on my E71 to version 1.0

Twittix crashes ...
When I upgraded to 1.0, twittix started crashing just after startup. I left a couple of messages on the developer's website, but got no reply. I suspect it could be fixed by removing the program's config files on the device (e71). Any ideas out there? Thanks!
