Nokia 6710 and 6720 Navigation smartphones debut
Not launched from the stage but merely leaked out by press releases were the 6710 Navigator and 6720 Classic. The first features pre-licensed Nokia Maps (of course), a dedicated navigator key, plus a 'touch area for easy zooming'. The 6720 Classic is a candy bar design and its innovation is 'active noise cancellation' for voice calls, a S60 first. Both devices have the usual 5mp camera and S60 spec level, including TV out. More details and photos below.

Ccraig are you sure about the 6710?
I don't see anything mentioning it being N-Gage compatible.

yes i'm sure ,
at the Q&A the product manager said the classic had n-gage built in to firmware and 6710 will be compatble later on also
these two new phones have nseries like specs so i expect future nseries devices to have a lot higher specs to what we've seen before in camera and processing department
it is going to be interesting

Mmm, so the new navigator comes with a car mount does it? That's what they said last time, and it most certainly didn't.
I also wonder if it will get the same complaints, sold as a navigation phone but people unfamilier with Nokia Maps suddenly wondering why it's asking for money after 6 months.

I really don't like the 6720 Classic. It's so damn ugly with the color and the way it's bent, at least in my eyes, and lack xenon flash.
Maybe I had unrealistic expectations on the upcoming 6xxx S60 device, but lately we had 6xxx phones with 3.5mm jack (6303 Classic), Wi-Fi (6260 Slide) and xenon flash (6220 Classic). I was kinda expecting Nokia would merge those features into one for a decent price.
But the 6720 Classic neither has Wi-Fi or xenon flash. So yeah, a disappointment. Really surprised about the lack of Wi-Fi too as I felt it would really be there, since the 5630 have it. When I saw the 5630 I expected the new 6xxx S60 candybar to be a 5630 mixed with 6220 Classic, but boy was I wrong!
Oh well, at least it got an accelerometer sensor, eh?

Nokia 6710 Navigator cell phone
I would really buy Nokia 6710 Navigator cell phone because it's the first mobile to embed Nokia Maps in its latest version (3.0), this Symbian S60 phone has all the advantages of high-end models of the manufacturer (N-series and E-series), but also a fascinating connection, including a standard headphone jack (3.5 mm) and a MicroSD card slot, easily accessible on the left side of the device. Bluetooth and USB 2.0, this phone also has Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g. Beyond its navigation capabilities, the 6710 Navigator will be no substitute for a complex audio player, an FM radio or a camera. The cell phone integrates a 5-megapixel sensor that allows for photos quite decent, even excellent in good lighting conditions.
