At the moment, dabr is the best, however, there is a dedicated S60twitter client under developement, and should be available in the next couple of months.

Twibble is a good client that I've been using since I got into twitter several months ago. It does not use SMS but posts via your data plan.

Twitter on E71 and other Nokia phones
You may try the free @SociallyApp (http://bit.ly/6mFra0) on Nokia phones. It supports Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and integrates with the phone book by showing the profile photos and latest status of the callers during incoming calls. Here’s a review – http://blogs.nokia.com/dailyapp/2010/02/socially-can-tell-you-whats-up-before-answering-the-phone/

It has to be Gravity. www.mobileways.de. It's been well-documented here and elsewhere. Although you do have to pay a small fee, it's worth it for the quality of the interface and ease of use. I would say that in many ways it even rivals the mighty Tweetdeck.

great thread resurrection but a good question all the same
Gravity is good for sure.... Nimbuzz's free client tho looks a lot like gravity in some respects and has a similar feel to it (tho it isnt anywhere near as good on the config side) tho you do get the added bonus of a load of bundled chat clients.

If you haven't already seen the comprehensive AAS review of twitter clients it can be found < here>
After that it really all depends on what features you're looking for, and whether you're more of a 'reader' than a 'poster' ..
I've used Dabr, TweetS60lite, and (more recently) Snaptu
Many are free to try so the best thing is to check the feature lists and then give them a go
Good luck!
Edit Just realised how old this original post was Feb-09 !
