E71 @ notification sign won't go away

Hi

I am using the built in email client to auto retrieve gmail every 2 hours. It has been working great over the past few weeks however recently the @ symbol in the top right of the screen will not go away even though I have no new mail and deleted the old ones. Tried rebooting the phone/deleting headers yet the @ sign won't go away. I have confirmed that my gmail does not have any new email.

Anyone else had a similar issue?

Thanks!

Try Nokia Messenging. It works awesome. I tried using the built-in app to fetch my mail thru IMAP, never worked. This new app is great, with 2 second setup.

To get rid of it, just scroll through all of the emails in your inbox. It means you have a non-new unread email in your inbox.
