Angry Opera Mini woes

I'm having a problem with my N85 and Opera Mini.
I recently did a hard reset on my N85, and while most of my software was on my memory card or reinstalled without a hitch, Opera Mini is giving me jip!

There is no icon anywhere in my Applications (or any other folder) for Opera Mini, and it doesn't appear under App. Mgr either.
I also cannot find the application when searching for it using Handy Taskman.

However, when I try to install Opera Mini from the web, the phone tells me "Opera Mini 4.1 installed, install latest version Opera Mini 4.2?" or something similar.
When I say "yes" to this i get "Install Error" (or something similar, can't remember exactly what).

How else can I get rid of Opera Mini 4.1 off my phone, or get access to it? Where will the files be located?

Thanks in advance!

Did you try searching in the application "App Mgr." application, it's located in the Applications folder (4 blocks is the icon) this shows all currently installed on your phone?

Yeah, I looked under App. Mgr. but Opera Mini is not there.
Any more ideas, please?

Thumbs up

Back up your memory card and format it.

Hi Sizzers

I've done a backup of my complete phone and memory card using Nokia PC Suite.
Is that what you mean, or do you mean copy all the files onto my computer to back up the card?

I'm not sure how to format my memory card, can you explain to me please?

When I've done this, would i just copy the files back (wouldnt this copy back the corrupt/missing Opera?)?

Thanks in advance!

I meant to say beforehand to remove your memory card then install Mini on your phone. If it installs okay then you know the problem is with your card.

Sizzers, I've taken my memory card out and installed Opera Mini on the phone memory. It installed ok and works fine UNTIL i put the memory card back in, at which point Opera refuses to start up. It appears you are right, so I'll copy all the files of memory card, format it and then go from there.
Incidentally how do i format the card, can i do this using my phone?
Thanks.

I'm not familiar with FP2 but if you locate the Memory Card which may well be in Settings, enter in to that and select Options and the option to format your card will be in there.
