Good to see some response from Nokia's Friend View team, fielding questions about map caching, lack of Nokia Maps compatibility and GPS/battery efficiency. Sounds like they're serious about this particular Beta Labs project after all...
It needs plugins. I really want NFV to update my Facebook and Twitter accounts, even if it doesn't Geo-tag them. It should definitely be able to open maps and show the quickest route to a friend.
Just look at what Loopt on the iPhone can achieve.
