Ok if there really is feedback from testing to design teams, then how in the world can the newest slider n85 STILL have wobbly slider problems? I mean after all the negative press and blogs that nokia received for the n95, how can nokia release another model with the same problems? And we are talking about FOUR different n95 variants, some with slightly different designs, all had wobbly slider problems. And now the n85 is having the same problems. Is it a production assembly problem? How can nokia be so blind and not address this issue that is so simple to fix?! Unbelievable.

Unregistered, first of all not everyone has problems with the N95 etc, some do but some don't, which implies it's a production problem rather than a design problem.

Secondly, can you name a DOUBLE-slider phone which doesn't have these problems?

A lot of single-sliders can be rock solid, but AFAIK no one has ever made a double-slider model where there were no reports of wobbly sliders.

well i guess that was my point, that it was a production problem. "can i name a double slider that doesnt have build problems?" YES. the third n95 8GB that i had to repeatedly exchange until i got one that didnt wobble. and my n95-3 i had to open up and fix the nylon slider to make it solid myself. these phones with double sliders work fine, but they just have to be assembled properly. i assumed that since the nokia testing center goes thru 2000 units per model, they would have to notice SOME of them having poor slider construction.

all i'm saying is that this same problem was made very visible on the n95 by many bloggers and youtube videos. and now the SAME problem is being carried over to the n85 and subsequent models. and the killer is, i STILL want to buy one because i'm not interested in any other phone that can offer me everything i want. such a simple problem for nokia to fix.
