Even more games announced by EA and Eidos

The official EA Mobile website has issued a press release with the following titles for N-Gage, confirming some previous annoucements and adding new titles too: FIFA09, Spore Origins, Monopoly, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, Boom Blox, Sims 3. In a partnership with British publisher Eidos, they also announced Tomb Raider Underworld and Pandemonium for N-Gage. Some of the games are due before the end of the year, while others are due in early 2009.

There are about 48 released or announced games now in total, it's getting very close to the original gen's 56 already.

I think 2009 will be a make-or-break year for N-Gage, as that's when Nokia should be able to have it built into every new S60 device including the cheapest models (it could take a while to get to the touchscreen models though).

After that happens, we'll start to find out whether N-Gage is a success or not. Not everyone will use N-Gage because not everyone plays phone games, but if they can get just a fraction of S60 owners to use N-Gage that will give them a healthy userbase.

Wow, Pandemonium! Will that be the enhanced remake of the PS1 title? That would be cool. So far, today's announcements are absolutely cool for N-Gage. A big day, yo!

Sandy, we don't know anything about Pandemonium, but that would be what we'd guess.

Or it could be some totally new game under the same brand...?

Fantastic! A really good range of games too. Monopoly on-line with some Chinese dude or a guy in Argentina while lounging in Norway (?! ) could be sweet for example.

Hope Tomb Raide auto-run-my-sweet-ass can at least be turned off (so that I can be properly turned on.. ok, too much information right there).

Good to see Pandemonium too.. it looked great even on the original N-Gage.

All we need now is a worthy follow up for Colin McRae Rally.. *dreaming*

There are already videos on YouTube of Pandemonium running on N95 (search for "pandemonium n95"). Not the n-gage version, of course, but I imagine it will be a direct port. Looks pretty good - I remember the original game on the PC - one of the first platformers to support 3d accelerators that I can remember (I don't think this one is using it on the phone, but not a problem).

Edit: And great news to hear of more support from the big names. I hope that more effort is put in to Sims 3 than was put in to the Pets game!

There is technically a game called World Rally Championship on the announced games list, it was annouced a long time ago (beginning of the year?) but we haven't heard anything about it since.

BTW I'm surprised people are getting excited about Pandemonium, I thought everyone had forgotten about that series? I loved it on the original N-Gage, nice 2D platform gameplay with 3D graphics to show off the hardware. Still don't understand how it got such mediocre reviews at the time...

Unregistered, I know what you mean... :-)

You can see all announced and released games listed in the "N-Gage Games" section at the top of the screen.

Alternatively here's the direct link:
