Nokia N96 Tomtom Internal Gps

hi

any one else moved from an n95 to an n96

was using the tom tom with the internal gps device on the n95 fine.

now ive moved it over to the n96 i am having issues.

the tom tom programme no longer loads up. is anyone else experiencing this issue, or has anyone found a work around?

are there any other programmes that would work well with the internal gps apart from nokia?

ive got tomtom 6 and copilot live on my N96.

both are on the MASS memory, fr some strange reason they wouldnt work on the memory card slot!

with the tomom 6 i just copied all the files and folders (i think there are about 27 intotal) to mass memory and it worked without having to do anythink! i use the external nokia LD-3W with tomtom. the ONLY problem i have with tomtom now is its a bit tricky to input and address or postcode, seems a bit slower and fiddlier than it was on my n95 and n95 8gb, but once your out on the road using it, its fine!!

copilot live 7 work with internal gps reciever or external gps (at first i had trouble installing copilot but got help off this forum from another guy)

just tried to copy and install everything the same way i did on the memory card when i had the n95.

it all installs fine. but still when clicking on the tomtom application, nothing happens.

just seems odd i cannot get this to work.

just worked it out

looks like the internal cracked version of tom tom will not work with the n96.

u have to install a previous tomtom that requires an external gps device

looks like a step back from where we all waited for someone to patch the tomtom to work on the n95

doubt someone will work a solution or patch for a long time!

if anyone knows who cracked it in the first place, then let them know theres a new challenge!!!
