went to carphone warehouse this afternoon and got my self a free upgrade to the N96 had to trade in my n95 but orange wanted 100 quid anyway and it wont be available for couple of days.
It looks like a nokia branded phone e.g no orange box and no branding on the phone at all?
also the phone searched for operator settings like HTC's do this leads me to believe this is not locked to orange, Sim card wise, but I'm not sure.
One trick is there is a protective cover on the screen and back, don't remove!! wet with your finger the lettering then scrap off with finger nail and FREE screen protector.
Hi all I've just recieved my Orange upgrade phone (N96) yesterday and there are NO Orange markings on the box or phone! Best of all its unlocked! Tried my Orange, Vodafone and O2 sims in the phone and they ALL work!
I to got N96 upgrade from CPW for orange... Picked it up yesterday after ordering it on wednesday.. but still waiting for the new sim card to register on the network, so just still using my old sim card for the mo..
