P800 FAQ

Simlar to what happened with the 7650 FAQ, I would like to start compiling a database of FAQ's for the P800.....you know along the lines of How do I change my SMS tone.

To some of you that are new to the forum or weren't around at the release of the 7650, is was all starting to get a bit tedious with the same Questions being asked on a Daily basis....so I think if we can get a good FAQ sooner rather than later it can only be a good thing.

I plan to do it a little bit differently to the 7650 FAQ, as that wasn't exactly the most speedy way of doing things.

So if you can think of any questions and you know the answer please post them here or send me an email at the address below.

Would be nice to add a section to hardware related issues,
or maybee just some links to where you can get the Info you want.

1. Memory Cards - do both types work or not, where to buy them
2. Screen protector where can you get one for the P800 ?
3. Bluetooth setup - what devices work, do not work
4. Firmware upgrades,
5. Ringtones, and background
6. Are the P800 Skinnable or not.
7. Where to get software....

FAQ topic: P800 belt clips

Not sure if this is a FAQ, but I want to ask how people handle the fact that the pouch supplied with the phone is useless to carry it around, and existing belt clips on the market don't seem to be usable with the P800... any tip would be helpful...

lostgweilo,

Ill be honest, ive had cellphones from the mid 90's and which are basically Nokia's and Ericssons and I have never used a pouch.

Even though its a 900 $ and ppl use the pouch to protect it. At first i didnt coz well i saw no reason to protect it. But the screen has this problem coz it attracts lint from mypocket makin the screen ugly ( to me ).. So thats why I use it..First day i was like ..ooh this aint nice and stufff..but then I didnt even notice..when i get a call.. i pull my phone out like i normally would and I just pull open the cover and use it.. I mean all this takes less than a split second to open it.. o_O  whats the big deal..
if u dont wanna use it.dont lol

pdaPhoneHome P800 FAQ

pdaPhoneHome has a growing FAQ for the P800. It is user fed, so if you have a tip or helpful idea, you can submit it there very easily.

Well, it's not so much about protecting the phone, but about *carrying it*. A belt clip is nice, I had one for my Nokia 8210, then for my T68i, and now I am addicted to it.

lostgweilo, my apologies.

See I come from a culture where its not possible to carry it on a belt clip.Since we dont wear pants :P That is why I did not relate to you what your saying.....so how about checking a few threads close to ur one about a phone case using a Canon Camera case...

Hi Lostgweilo!
I use a hip leathercover originaly ment for the nokia 9110. It opens eacely and has room for the P800, even with the little Ericsson radio and headset attached.

What a great phone/PDA dont U think?
regards
Björn
