want to update v20 ,but nokia software updater just fails n95

hey

i recently just backed up my phone , so now everything is backup

im on a n95-2 and i want to get to version 20 , so i've gone through nss and changed my product code and now im in nokia software update r

i connect my phone via usb to pc suite then start up nokia software updater

it detects my phone at first but i dono why but when its at updating software ,

and like 15 minutes remaining the phone just sudddenly switches off and nokia software update just sais it failed and then the phone just stays on a blank screen i have to restart it then everything is back to normal but it fails and sais like try again but only when the phone automatically switches off

What OS you running, and what Versions of NSU, and PC Suite you have installed?

There is a well documented fault in the latest NSU on Nokia's support forums. "Nokia Service Host Layer" crashes and NSU sticks on 15mins remaining - it's a Vista compatibility problem by the looks of things, and Im stuck with it too

The firmware for N95-2 is NOT the same as that of the N95. Trying to force it will cause problems.

My friend he's not trying to force anything v20 is out for N95-2 now,its the new 8gb upgrade

But there is also a (rather technical) workaround that was originally posted by a_pawsey and has been confirmed by myself here.

Yeah, I did see that. Looked too complex for me! Glad it worked for you though. I went to my parents house and commandeered the old XP machine which worked just fine...

Hey guys... please some advice - are there any problems with v20 or any MAJOR advantaged or should I just wait for it to come on the euro1 product key? I would really really appreciate some advice.
