When I use youtube on wifi i can use both the mobile site as well as the desktop version. However, when I am using at&t internet when i am out and about I can only use the desktop version. the mobile version has no problem until it tries to connect and comes up with "unable to connect". this is only a small problem, but i would like to use the mobile version since it loads up faster. i live in california and obviously have at&t/cingular and when i took it in to the at&t store for a new sim card and asked them about it they said they have never seen my phone before. Has anyone had a similar problem that lives in the states or anyone know whats going on, thanks!!:biggrin:
Youtube mobile not working with at&t internet
i'm on ATT in california too, using an n95-4 (8GB). which access point are you using, media net or att internet? media net has proxy, and att internet does not have proxy. use the ATT internet and it should work. i'm able to at least. or you can install emtube which IMO is better quality and the better solution for full youtube. auto rotate works on that app too.
I use at&t internet as my point but I have also tried medianet. It will open realplayer and try to connect, but just gives "unable to connect". I have not heard of emtube, can you tell me about it? What kind internet plan do you have, regular $15 or more expensive PDA plan? Also what version firmware are you running?

i have the 15 dollar media net plan unlimited. that is the correct plan since ATT considers the n95 a regular phone, not a PDA. that's what they say if you call and ask them.
emtube is a simple app which plays youtube videos from the full site, but you dont have to view thru the webpage. it downloads the videos in full screen to your phone, and the auto rotate works so when you turn the phone the screen rotates by itself from the phone's position. the quality of the videos on emtube look much better than watching from the mobile or desktop site, even though its the same video file. try it out, its free. dont forget to install the accelerometer plugin.
