Incoming number recognition

Most of my numbers are stored in international format , e.g. +44207xxx etc however whilst my previous SE phone would recognise a number incoming given inUK format, eg 0207xxxx , the E51 doesn't.

Is there a way round this? I haven't tried yet but would a space help, eg if I stored +44 space 207xxxxx would that do the job? Or is there a setting (seems unlikely) or an application (maybe?)

Or is it only (as I now seem to recall reading as I type this) recognising numbers stored in the mobile phone number field?
