Sony Ericsson out the G700 and G900 UIQ 3 smartphones
Sony Ericsson just announced the G700 and G900 UIQ 3-powered 'touchscreen organisers'. Or as the rest of the world calls them, 'smartphones'. The G700 has a 3.2 megapixel camera, while the G900 has a 5mp camera and Wi-Fi, but otherwise they're very similar. Details below in the press release and comparison table.

The one on the left looks to have the most sensible keypad I've seen in ages. Hurrah to a return to sanity!

The Experia X1.
Indeed, the gap to the Dark Side has been breached. Indeed, this is the beginning of the end of the first, last and best rebel force, Psion-EPOC-Symbian.
Now, certainly, all is finally lost.
The end of the dream for many, finally vanquished by the insatiable power of the Dark Side: M$.
Godspeed great dream of David Potter!
Nice phone, though.

Clueless
How on earth could they leave out HSDPA connectivity??
Why did they leave the good jogdial concept?

Looks very interesting, I can't wait to see how these work out in real usage, when's the AAS reviews of these coming out?
Finally UIQ is making it into 6120 sized handsets. I'm a little surprised SE are keeping the touch-screen though, does this imply they don't like the keypad only variant of UIQ?

JimH, i think its a matter of differenciation...the ts is addon...the phone can be used without it, but it adds an extra layer of "smartphoneness" to it...use it has a normal phone (like a s60) on the go, use the ts for advanced features when you can use both hands for advanced features
