Opera mini vs opera mobile

Hie guys op you al had a good weekend well what i wanted to ask is well opera mini 4 recently got an upgrade and it now appeares pretty faster than the opera mobile8.6. I don know if am just imagining it or is opera mini now faster. I mean i have both of them on my phone and i need your suggestions is opera mini4 now faster to open web pages than the yet to be upgraded to 9. Version 8. Thanx for your anticipated advice.

N95's browser is far more faster than any opera(mini or not)

iv found opera is faster for me. loads up sites faster and loads up sites that dont load up on nokia browswer.

Opera mini uses a proxy hosted by Opera themselves. This optimises the page for mobile viewing before sending the data to your phone. That means you download much faster as you are getting smaller images etc.

Opera Mobile (and the Nokia browser) are 'standard' browsers so download the full site and then optimise on the device which means they are slower downloading but allow you to do things like download full images and files etc.

Personally I keep Opera mini for general browsing when mobile but use Mobile for downloading

LoveGod if your Nokia browser is way faster than Opera mini theres something worng.

Thanx guys for sheding some light yeh i must agree opera mini 4 is now quicker but they reckon the upgrade to opera mobile 9.5 will be faster we just have to wait and see and i hope they will give those of us with opera 8.6 a free upgrade
