I have been trying to get videos onto my phone now for quite some time. I have used DVD Dycrypter to create the ISO file from a DVD and save it to myhard drive. i have then used numnerous programs to convert the file to .mp4 and all that happens is I can hear the sound of the video in real player, but NO VIDEO!!!
My last attempt was with MediaCoder using the E90 preset file. SAME THING happened.
Please let me know what I need to do to get this to work. Thanks in advance.
Well i tried Super with all the different settings suggested in various threads and it would give me an error every time before it finished converting. This was with both the old and the brand new version on a Vista Laptop, i also tried the Nokia Tablet converter mentioned by some and that would stop showing @100% converted but with 16 seconds remaining and never finish.
So in the end i upgraded my current Movavi to version 6 as it has an option for custom settings after getting sound and no picture and then picture and no sound pus also not getting full screen even after setting it @800x352 it took some playing around with but now have it sorted at last.
Now i have my Custom settings worked out and am converting all my Film's and TV series to the correct format with the desired results if anyone else is using Movavi Pm me and i will send you the settings at last i have the one click conversions i have been seeking an Episode of SmallVille is 265mb. I should point Movavi 6.0 is not free but not really expensive either and converts to MP4 in a good quality search on Google and you can get a trial version that will convert 30% of the file so you can see if you like and as i said if you go for this option PM me and i will give you the settings i found to work and it coverts many foramts although i have only converted avi's and Mp4's.
Please give another try to mediacoder. I realized that it sometimes do not load the preset correctly. Make sure that on the video tab (bottom left) the formet is set to XviD, and the container is set to MP4 after you load the e90 preset. Like this should work.
As i said i did exactly that but i just couldn't get Super to work it kept giving errors before it was even converted and that was both the old and new versions. I did appreciate your settings but they just didn't help, if Super works for you great but I'm sticking with Movavi that works for me.
it's worth investing in coreplayer. it plays unoptimised content great, and with options to crop and stretch media it'll save you the hassle of converting everything to a specialised ratio or format.
