p800 questions from newbie

I finally managed to get my P800 and have a couple of questions after playing with it for one day.

1.) Is there any way to play Real-One streaming content with the P800? Any add-on software available? It would be great to use it as an international (low quality) internet radio!

2.) I used to have a T68i and it had an extremely useful feature "Edit Number before call". I used it a lot for overseas calls by changing the prefix (for budget calls). I didn't see this feature on the P800 yet. Is it possible to write a small patch to add this feature?

3.) Is it possible that the P800 automatically will check for new E-Mail or do I have to check each account manually every time?

4.) Any idea whether a pocket office version (word, excel) will be available for the p800?

5.) Any news about a potential fax programm? I really would spend some money for it!! Is it technically possible to include a fax programm?

6.) I didn't make many calls yet, so I don't know how many calls will be recorded in the history (call list). Any chance to set this manually? I would love to track calls (numbers) back, if possible even for 6 months.

7.) I love the feature "accepted callers". However, I would love it much more if I could block certain numbers. Means, accept all calls except specified numbers. That would be a cool tool! Any chance to do something about it?

8.) Any chance to switch the display from portrait to landscape mode and back?

9.) Is it technically possible that web sites with JAVA and/or frames will be supported in the future?

I would appreciate to get some help from this forum.

1) No Real Player yet... no news on whether it will ever be available. Internet radio? That would cost a lot since you'd be paying per KB of data streamed into your phone.

2) There is no way to edit the number before calling while the flip is closed. With the flip open, just cut and paste the number, you can edit it anyway you like after pasting.

3) Yes, just set the intervals in the Email account.

4) Word/Excel possible with 3rd party app... no news on that yet either.

5) I don't know what the modem limitations of the P800 are... I hope the modem can handle fax as well with a 3rd party app... I'm hoping there will be one as well.

6) Well, the phone does have a larger phone list than any other on the market today... but I think 6 months is too much to ask for.

7) Hmmm... could be possible, with 3rd party app or OS modification... but I don't think SE will provide this feature.

8) We're all hoping for this one as well!

9) Yes, just wait for the full browser to be released from Opera... right now, the P800 is running a stripped down version cuz Opera for UIQ wasn't finished in time for the P800 release.

We're all waiting for the apps that will show the full potential of the P800!!! Stay tuned!

Thanks for your comments.

1.) Sure you would have to pay for kb/mb. But from time to time I would be willing to pay for it. For example for special sports broadcasts.

6.) It would be useful to develop a program that can at least safe the data of phone log entries. One could keep such files at the computer hd then.

However, all in all it's a great phone and hope that future applications will make it even more attractive.
