hi,
trying it atm, settings all default atm, got it working with my xbox v1, used the profile under the OTHER category, not from the DVD section, as that one dont seem to work at all...
Seems to work only like 5-10 cms away from the IR reciever, and you have to wait a while inbetween issueing commands.... :(
dunno maybe im doing something wrong, or its just rubbish lol...

This may be a stupid suggestion, but just in case... the N95 infrared port is on the left hand side, between the microSD slot and the headphone socket. So I would guess you have to hold the phone sideways and make the IR port point towards the device you are trying to control?

using v1.00 as well...
yeah the IR is on the same side as the headphone plug, so u need to hold it sideways...
Im guessing since the app is brand new, and their profile database seems to be user mantained at least partly, we arent getting much support for devices atm...
Tried my tv, nada, no profile, tried my amp same crap etc...
The IR is activated by itself, if u enable IR from the menu and try to run the app it will not run and tell you the IR is busy....

I haven't tested it on any devices yet cos I'm at work so when I get home I'll see what I find out. I have heard a lot of complaints that the range and angle are rubbish so I'm glad I haven't paid for it.
By the way, if you use it with Rotateme then you can use it upside down, which is marginally better than sideways. I'm hopeful that future releases of rotateme will allow rotation to all four orientations but thats another issue.

This is SO refreshing! Thanks, guys. Everywhere else everyone goes off about how great this program is, yet no one seems to have actually tried it! Nice to hear I am not the only one thinking this is cr@p, with a messy database, rediculous range, nothing working and an extremely high price.
Oh, did I forget to mention that the DRM of Psiloc STILL makes booting the N95 twice as slow?

I tried this before buying, as I suspected it would be "not worthwhile". Right idea. It can't even work with a Sky+ box, never mind my Meridian F80. On the plus side, it did work with my Samsung HD TV, but only volume and power (I have to use Sky for my signal as unable to receive ANY terrestrial signal, yet still have to pay BBC their ruddy fee ). All in all a complete waste of time. More so when you think you have to hold your N95 sideways on.

works ok here on a samsung tv, toshiba tv and version one pace sky plus box. I need to make a profile for another tv as no one has created one for the model i have. Tried the pre-made xbox 360 profiles and had no luck. I don't know if this is due to a weak transmitter/receiver combo or wrong ir profile, i'll be making one myself incase the pre-made one was wrongly made.
If someone hasn't created an ir profile for your device or an existing one doesn't work go to psiloc's site and follow the instructions on how to make one. Apart from downloading the ir codes profiles, which they link to, it is web based and guided.

Same here, nothing works!
I had the cracked version (naughty I know but the trial period expired from the beta so the final one wouldn't give me a trial either).
It says a lot about an app when you uninstall a cracked version cos it's rubbish!

I get so fed up with people dissing things because they can't get them working. If I can program 3 tvs a dvd and a stereo in 10mins and have all of them working from 3 metres + then you were doing something wrong. If you had the correct codes then you were using the wrong ir mode. As a matter of interest - why install the cracked app when you couldn't figure out the beta?
