Start-up Please contact Retailer Error
A while back i update my normal nokia n73 to the music edition firmware via changing the product code,naughty i know but at the time their were no decent updates for normal n73!
Anyway i had a blonde moment the other day and connected up to nokia updater to see if their was any firmware updates, it found a firmware so i tried updating it. It failed in updating and i tried again and it still failed so i disconnected,powered off the nokia n73 and when i powered it back on it came up with this error message and i cant do anything with it anymore.
The PC wont recognise it, what are my options via software to fix this or do i have to play dumb and visit my local nokia care point to resolve this!
Any advice appreciated.

I had a similar message after an update a few months ago. I just reconnected it to the USB cable and reflashed the firmware again. Problem solved.

I had the same problem. It is related with the memory card.
Starting with the telephone off
Take the memory card out from the phone,
switch the phone on,
wait the phone is completely on,
and then insert the memory card ...
after few seconds you should have the phone working
I believe is a problem that can be solved only buying a new memory card
I formatted the card and and re-installed all the software but the problem is still there as soon I reech a specific level of memory on the card
At the moment I keep my telephone on as much as I can and I use this sequence when I must switch it off

Interesting read,thanks..
I do have a memory card 2gb but flashed the phone with memory out, never tried switching it on with the card in though!
My N73 is at a Nokia Service centre now awaiting shipping to Nokia.
Nokia guy tells me the N73 update is a real headache!!

I'll have to boot up my N73 - it was occasionally having similar issues on startup. Invariably fixed by starting up without the memory card in.
But the continual subsystem failures were getting pretty irritating (ie. gallery, menu, etc.).
