The N95 8GB ships!

Nokia has announced that the black N95 8GB smartphone has started shipping across the world, with most of Europe and selected Middle East countries also getting the Spiderman 3 movie preloaded into the large internal flash drive. Reports of sightings welcome. And - hey Nokia/WOM - how about one for us to play with?

Read on in the full article.

Good stuff. I look forward to the in depth AAS review. I suspect there might a few significant improvements on the software front hopefully? And is that screen really much clearer/brighter/better?

Anyway, I want one, though I must say my new 6120 Classic has far exceeded my already high expectations. It is a REALLY superb phone.

What we really want is the functionality of the N95 at a 6120 size/weight, with the entire front side a multitouch screen. I look forward to next year ;-)

Wow, faster than I expected. And starting price a little lower than I expected too.

Totally agree, it's the best phone Nokia have done in ages: it's the right size, the right weight, the right shape, the right price and with the right features. It just feels right when you first pick it up. It's also far more stable than most S60s.

Sure it would be nice to have wifi and more RAM, but considering the low price and small size those are very very minor gripes.

Of all the devices we get to try out on AAS, the 6120 is the one I most wanted to keep (couldn't though, sniff!).

How much space for applications?

In Nokia's Tech Specs for the N95-8GB, they say:
" * Up to 100MB internal dynamic memory for messages, ringing tones, images, video clips, calendar notes, to-do list and applications
* Up to 8GB internal flash memory for multimedia content such as music, pictures, ringing tones, map data". (My bolding.)

Does this mean I cannot install apps, documents, etc. into the 8GB of internal flash memory, the way I could on a typical Nokia S60 phone's external memory card? That wouldn't be nice!

Lightbulb answer to wocius

dar wocius, there is a topic i this site which shows that 8gb memory looks as external e drive.it means u can install apps to it too.And at the overall view of n95 8gb at nokia's site;it says customize 8gb with musics,videos,...,applications and games.
