I was thinking about putting all of my nim converted music and other video clips on the n9210 website. I have 150, yes thats right 150 music and other style clips. Also clips of me thrashing my 355. But I might just design a website of my own!
Anyone got any tips on this and where i could get a free one from, or if there not that expensive tips on buying a web name and site?
Designing and making a website is free, you only need a text editor and an HTML reference. getting webspace for 150 .NIM files will be *VERY* expensive, if you buy from somewhere that will sort out your domain name and give you webspace you may be looking at up to £50 a month renting the space to store the files, more if they are larger than I'm guessing.
You could run your own server but then you'd need a cable/dsl line with a static IP address and a webname redirection service. You'd also need a PC to be setup as a server with Linux & Apache on it. You could run Windoze and IIS but that's expensive and will be hacked to kingdom come. In the long run if you've got over 100-200 MB it'll be cheaper to run your own server in the long run. Remember that all this money is outgoing though, web advertising will make you a pittance back.
