It depends on what you do with your N95.

I can get 2 to 3 days standby from the battery if I don't make lots of calls/SMS.

WiFi, USB, GPRS Packet Data='Always On', 3G Mode, and Music Player are all big consumers of power.

* Ensure packet data (in Tools->Settings->Connections->Packet Data) is set to When Needed.
* Disable VOIP and other Wi-Fi connections when not required.
* Set Network Mode to GSM if 3G network functions are not required (or if you are not in a 3G reception area)
* Charge your battery overnight, every night.

Hope this helps.

I experienced a 30% improvement in battery life after the V12 Firmware upgrade

What FW are you on? (Type *#0000#)

Also with new phone/battery it improves quite a bit after some 10-15 charges. Also, as mentioned, charge it often (LiOn batterys likes it..) and most importantly DO NOT COMPLETELY DISCHARGE the battery.

why not let battery empty? do u think they will ever bring out a higher capacity battery for classic n95 or just carry on capitalising on thier mistakes by bringing out brand new expensive versions of the same phone. How about a free n95 8 gig exchange option for every classic owner. I think not.

try keepin phone in gsm mode instead of dual my battery life is almost twice as long if you dont use 3g, if u really need it u can swap modes on the go with no need for reboot.

The combined wisdom of AAS users agrees that you will shorten the life of the battery if you completely discharge it on a regular basis.

No. You can only fit so much capacity into a physical space. That's why the higher capacity N95-8Gb battery is larger and does not fit the classic N95.
