What is Patrick Frei PhoNetInfo v1.4.0.S60v3.Unsigned?

If you google you'll see several announcements in august with the following file

Patrick Frei PhoNetInfo v1.4.0.S60v3.Unsigned

none of these announcements are from Patrick himself

I don't understand though why Patrick's own site hasn't been updated and still only shows a signed version of 1.2?

According to his site, the current (signed) version is 1.2, the developers unsigned version is 1.5. The 1.4 version above was probably another developers unsigned version.

I announced version 1.2.0 (Symbian signed) in March 2007. Due to very long waiting periods till Symbian signs freeware applications I decided to offer UNSIGNED versions of PhoNetInfo (1.3.0 / 1.4.0 / 1.5.0).

These versions have to be signed by yourself before you can use them. That's why I wrote that these downloads are for developers only. Currently there is version 1.6.0 available for download:
