Navicore works with N95 internal GPS
Just got this working today. After being told by Navicore support they were working on a fix but it is not availble yet. I noticed on another forum that someone was using it this way so I persevered with the settings and now it works every time.
I used to use this all the time with my N73 but switched to Route 66 when I got my N95 so I could use the internal gps. Now I'm back with Navicore it's much better. Traffic and safety cameras are all at no extra charge.
The only thing I don't like about the software is I don't get enough prior warning as to which exit to take at a roundabout.
I got an older version of the package on ebay for about £40 which entitled me to a free upgrade to the latest version. I don't know if this still applies.

That sounds interesting.
Can you not adjust the warning timings? Ive seen this in settings on almost all satnav, where you can change the time before it gives you a warning (i.e. time inbetween the warning and reaching the instruction point).
Im going to have a look

Can you give more details of which settings you changed? I can't make my Navicore work with the internal GPS at all. The setting to use the Location API just reverts to "Bluetooth" every time.
Cheers

I selected Location API then immediately closed the program. After I restarted it it worked and I've had no problems since.

Thanks for the tip about exiting straight away. I've got the "Location API" setting to stick now, but it still won't pick up the internal GPS. The GPS status screen shows no satellites at all :(

On the phone go to menu, tools, settings, general, positioning, positioning methods. I have assisted gps and integrated gps ticked only. Does that help?

You have v12 firmware, then. I'm still on V11 as I don't want the bugs associated with v12. Perhaps that's why mine isn't working. Thanks for your help.

I used Navicore in Kuwait on my N80i and it worked pretty damn well over there.
I would buy it again if I had to.
If they have maps for North America I just might.

I'm using 2007. I got it as a free upgrade from 2006 earlier this year.
