The Z8 gets Office viewers - but of course!

Although the Motorola RIZR Z8 has no Office support at all, Quickoffice has stepped into the breach with viewers for the Z8's brand of UIQ 3, albeit for an extra $20. The full press release follows.

Read on in the full article.

Red face

Rafe,

Excellent preview as usual!

Did you test Documents To Go on the Z8? How does it perform? Is it compatible?

Personally, I am very satisfied with Documents To Go compared to QuickOffice because Documents To Go provides better compatibility and displays files better on device.

For example, on P990, QuickWord doesnt display embedded photos in DOC files but Word To Go does.

Cheers! :-)

Docs to Go is currently not compatible with the Z8.

You should also note, as mentioned in the article, that Quickoffice does support tables and images in this version. The version 4 is a big step up from version 3. It is also quick to open documents which has been a personal annoyance amongst all office suites for me in the past.

See our S60 coverage of version 4 for some further details. Essentially the conclusion from this was that Quickoffice version 4 provided the best Office solution.

Documents To Go for Moto Z8

Just a quick update...DataViz announced today that they have a Documents To Go viewer available for the Z8. This viewer is free to all Z8 owners when you register on their website.
