They removed a lot of the functionality I used daily.
The right softkey is defaulted to "Exit" instead of "GPS Position". The new "GPS Position" shortcut is the "0" key, but now you have to dig through the menu to toggle 3D. "0" used to toggle 3D. . .
I'm switching back because of this next change. Call me a cheap Yankee from the States, but I had been using the Tracking feature on the old version to suit my GPS needs. It was about the same as navigation, except there weren't voice commands, added details like time and distance remaining, and the Map was always pointed North. Still, all you had to do was glance at it once in a while to find out where you needed to turn without having to pay $15/month. Thanks for the 3 day trial Nokia, but I'm not going to use the new version if you won't let me use the tracking.
No one else seems to be complaining about this here or on other forums, which leads me to believe I'm the only person who ever used it?

For the N95 you need NOKIA_Maps_1_0_S60_update.SIS (2,7MB). Can't tell you where to find it officially at the moment as smart2go seemed to have taken it out of the selection again. Perhaps you have luck in other forums.

What do you mean? They support all S60 3rd Edition devices. I have been running it on my E70 for months...
If I am not wrong, there has always been a generic S60 3rd edition version, although I have noticed that this is currently absent from the list. Probably due to the license manager fix they are working on...
Anyway, Having TomTom and Wayfinder also running on my E70, I really don't see the value of Smart2Go. The routing functionality has no real time traffic information, which is something that any meaningful navigation packge has these days. Without traffic, navigation is like walking on one leg only...

Works on my E61 (Malaysia)
Both the N73 SIS file and new Map Loader works perfectly on my E61 and PC.
Well done, Nokia!

well there's still no SIS file for the N95.
And on the new Map Loader, has anyone tried to download the newer maps? For example, the UK maps seem to have increased in size to 98Mb for England... if you download this using Map Loader, there's an option called 'delete previous maps' but it seems to be taking forever....
has anyone tried re-downloading maps and what'ss been your experience?

Yeah, it does take ages to delete. Must be due to the multiple-levels structure on the maps folder. Just be patient. To be sure that it did not hang, you can periodically check on the SD card size using file properties. The re-downloading part is much much faster compared to version 1.0.
