The country code, I don't believe...
But for city code, try the following: Dial your ISPs number from your phone, as like it was a voice call. Try with both types: with or without area code, and you will see which is the right...

I tried calling my dial up like a voice call and the call connects for 2 sec or so and with the city code it dosent connect the call so does that mean that city code isnt important?

Maybe you can try this.
Setup an e-mail account using you ISP's dialup.
You can connect by pressing the options connect button when you are positioned over the mailbox.
The you can switch to webviewer with the menu key and give it a try.
Let me know how this works.
Anyone else?
Are you sure that your ISP setings are correct?

I cant think of anything else, except this.
Check with your operator if you are able to make data calls and if you are check if you are subscribed for the service.

I have exactly the same problems, I want to use dialup for sending email to burn some minutes each month, so I can drop the orangeinternet GPRS package. All my settings are correct, I've tried using High Speed Data connection and GSM Data connection, 9.6 and 14.4 (I have HSCSD enabled) and it won't connect, I just get connection error, followed by General System Error. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be happy to hear them. Thanks.
