Real Player - help please!

OK, got my new shiny N95.... but i've copied across avi and wmv files to play on the phone and it doesnt recognise them.

Even realplayer (rm) files don't seem to work properly .... they don't show the picture.

can someone help - Is this a codec issue? (Ie do i need 3ivx, divx etc)

Could be the format of the movie. Are you sure about them?

You need to have the videos in 3GP or Realmedia(mobile) or MP4. Pc codecs like Divx/Xvid and WMV aren't supported from what im aware unless via 3rd party software.

I've been converting all stuff using Xilisoft iPod Video Converter which converts to MP4 pretty quickly, I've resized to 640 x 480 and they work perfect. Not sure if this is the quickest/easiest way, but works well for me.

You can use yasa 3gp video converter to convert avi wmv to 3gp mp4 for your phone. It works well for me.

Don't expect it to be that great though. The built in MP4 player is much better.
