One Decent SAT NAV that works!

Thats right! is there any out there that utilises the internal GPS antenna and b***** works?

Read about view ranger yesterday by someone here and installed it whilst it does make use of the internal antenna and works but its god damn pathetic! It totally lacks the showbiz nature of TomTom and CoPilot. I dont even know how to use this pathetic looking SAT NAV!!!

Heard TomTom aint realsing the internal antenna one for sometime, so does any other one works on it or wot?

That's becasue ViewRanger isn't meant to be SatNav in the same way as TomTom. ViewRanger is a means to have OS LandRanger maps on your phone and is for use by walkers, mountainbikers etc, ie those that use OS maps, not car drivers trying to work out how to get from Acacia Av to the local Waitrose.

And yes, I've used the internal GPS and it works.

Don't be so rude, people are trying to help you!

As for "what extra info did you give", he explained that ViewRanger is designed for ramblers, hikers etc not vehicle navigation like tomtom.
If you want to use tomtom and can't wait for a version that supports internal GPS, just get a bluetooth gps module, the N95 supports them and they are pretty cheap now.

Don't be a cock.

If you read the many threads in the N95 section, people have already discussed what they have tried.
If you want a navigation system that works with the internal GPS, then use the included Maps software and pay for the navigation upgrade.
