N80 Txt Problem

I am having a problem with my N80 where it will not tell me when i recieve a new txt,i have to manually go into the message centre to find out if i have one or not

It wont vibrate or play a sound,now matter what profile it is in
Ive tried a light reset but that is all,does anyone know what could be wrong??

Phoning my mobile is a different matter,it will happily play and vibrate away

are you using the same 'sound' for each profile when you recieve a text...

can you change it??

does that work any better??

No not using the same sound for every profile and even when i do change it still no joy!!

i had the same problem. fixed it by upgrading to the N80 internet edition firmware.
