Possible cable connection afterall?

Now we all know that it's not possible to connect our 7650s to our PCs with cables so can someone who knows more about it check this out -

http://www.tangshop.com/datcabnok7650.html

I'm assuming this site is just wrong and it's a mis-print or something but it maybe worth checking?

After somewhat close examination of the photographic evidence, I have come to the conclcsion that this is infact plausable and maybe a cable connection afterall. However, iR and Bluetooth being around the same price, I fail to see the benefits of this cable connector, however if you are inclined that way then you've found an answer!

IF you look closely one will observe that the battery connects into the top of the connection end and then it goes into the battery compartment

There is a cable connector in 7650 but it is inside the phone
You have to break the phone apart everytime you want to connect,
I would say that it makes it a bit uncomfortable and dangerous sorry.
Its used to flash the phone.

I would love to make own 7650 --- and for fun call it the 7650i... Self mod it... It wud have Ultra Violet backlighting for the keypad and buttons [normal backlight have white lighting], the joystick to have a glowing ring around it, where its connected to phone, Zoom 1024x768 camera... Inbuilt 4GB Portable HD, More powerfull IR and Remote controll app... Vid camera app [with sound] ... thats just the start of my modded 7650... I wanna stick other things in... Oh option to turn proximity sensor off, and sensitivity, and use it to take a foto wen triggerd, or activate backlighting etc.. Hmmm - Im going to bed now... I think tiredness has finally got to me [Also knowen as my wife]

I dont see where in the battery compartment you can plug that cable in.
If there is some sort of port (I'm not talking about the one that is used for flashing firmware) it could be easily used to connect some kind of storage to the device (MMC maybe). There even was a thread from a guy (Tenchi?)who had similar idea.He made some 3d renders about it,in the end it turned out that there is no way to connect the imaginary storage/MMC to the 7650 (IR and BT excluded)

hello there, the cable you are talking about is connected inside by talking apart the main face and the slide, at the back of the main face there are contacts there where this cable connects, you have to use a special tool to take this two apart and its called srt-4

I have seen a picture of that cable, and the connector is nowhere as big as that one in the picture here.
But you can be right. Maybe that is somekind of holding mechanism and
battery compartment or something. Anyways, not very usefull.

the picture here is a f/bus cable for the 7650, with this same cable with minor modifications u can use it with your griffin box to flash a dead 7650 phone or upgrade your software to a higher version, basically its not useless its one major gadget to mdoify your 7650

This thing must be placed between the battery and the phone. I had one of these for 8850!
If you take off the battery from phone, and look carefully at the phone's battery contacts (golden pins), you will notice that below them, there are some thin holes with some golden pins too.
The adapter in the picture you published, plugs in the battery's position at the phone and after this, you can plug the battery on the adapter.
That's all!
